DANCE studio 111 at Denver’s Debbie Sanders Dance Studios is a place that brings together dance, music, and pop culture from the past to present.
As one of the last remaining clubs in Denver, the club is home to a full bar and some of the finest DJs in the country, all in a venue that has seen a lot of change over the past few years.
The club opened its doors in 2013 and has since grown to a thriving community.
This year, DJ Mazz and his crew have been working hard to expand the club’s capacity.
With more rooms than ever, the place is also now hosting its very first VIP experience.
And it’s all thanks to one man: Debbie Clinton.
Debbie is a founding member of the club and she’s made her mark on the scene through her work with the likes of the likes and artists who make up the Denver Dance Scene.
We caught up with the DJ to find out more about how she got into dance music and why her favourite artists are always on the dance floor.
DJ Mazzy (Dance Lab) Debbie opened the dance studio in 2012.
He has a huge love for the Denver dance scene and was thrilled to get a chance to work with Debbie.
Deb’s DJ MZzy and Debbie and her husband Jason (Guitar Man) are currently on tour together.
Debby and her family have been playing music together for over 20 years and have been performing since the age of 12.
When we met, Debbie was still living in her hometown of New York City, and she was just starting to work in the music industry at the time.
Deb was looking for a place to perform and the only place she could find was in Denver.
Debbi was a bit intimidated by Denver, so when she found out about the club, she knew immediately that she had to be a part of it.
Deb and Debby had a blast hanging out, hanging out with their friends and playing music.
Deb by the way, was always a big fan of the Grateful Dead and loved to listen to all the music they released and was always looking forward to playing some shows.
In fact, Debby was the first woman to join the Grateful Dancers as a solo artist in 2016.
It was the beginning of an amazing journey and she continues to travel the country as a fan of all the amazing bands that make up this great Denver community.
Debbys biggest dream is to play a show at the Denver Jazz Dance Studio in 2020.
We can’t wait to see the club come to life!
I’m excited to be part of this amazing club and have the opportunity to do my best to make it one of my favourite spots in Denver!
It was so amazing to work on this project and I can’t thank you all enough for being such a great partner.
The Dancers are currently booking all of the upcoming shows with Debby’s help and you can catch them live at the club on February 22nd, 2019.
Debbby and Jason are also currently touring as part of a two-week residency in the Denver area.
The residency is happening at the new Denver Jazz Theatre and is scheduled to be held on February 26th and 27th.
The show will be debuted on March 6th at 9pm.
Tickets are on sale now.
