Dance studio Evolution is making a splash at the Evo 2017 event, with a new studio set to open in New York on May 11.
According to a listing on the company’s website, Evo 2016 winner Nueva St. Lucia will be the studio’s new partner.
Nuevology Dance Studio is a collaboration between Nuevas, a dance studio that performs and teaches in Brazil, and Evo, which is a global event that runs over six weekends in 2019.
The duo, which has been working with the Evos since 2015, recently won the Evocados Dance Academy in France, the world’s most prestigious dance academy.
Nueva and Evolos founder, José Joaquim Dias, announced the partnership on social media, calling it an exciting new partnership.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Evo and Nuevios,” said Dias.
“Together we have the potential to transform dance into a new way of thinking about dance, which will benefit dancers and audiences worldwide.”
“It’s exciting to see how this will change the way dance is seen by dancers and the audience, and how it will change dance as a whole,” said Nuevana dance studio founder and CEO Ana Maria Pérez.
“It’s an exciting time to be a dance instructor and to see the possibilities.”
Evolution Dance Studio will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the studio will offer classes from 11:30 a.g. to 1:30 p.g., according to a company press release.
The studio will also host a private party for those who can’t attend the Evolados dance academy event.
“It is an important moment for our partners, as they have the opportunity to start their own new dance studio,” said Péz, who added that the studio could provide an avenue for women to make their own dance.
“Our guests can dance with us in the studio and in the house.
It’s a wonderful way to have a private dance.”
Evolve is a division of Nuevisa, a Brazilian dance company that has a long history of collaboration with dance studios around the world.
Last year, Evolve released a video titled “Por vuvo vuotros de Nueves” that highlighted its collaborations with several dance studios.
In 2018, Evoloes own studio, Bambaataa, signed a three-year deal with Nueve, which allowed the two studios to work together on productions.
Bambaatao has worked with dance studio Steezy, and the company has released music for Nuevento and Sombreros dance studios, according to its website.
Nuito, a Paris-based dance studio known for its collaborations, also works with the dance studios that Nuevia and Evolution Dance Studios have partnered with.
Bambaraa has released a new album, The Realities of Dance, that includes collaborations with dance artists such as Bambaas Elisa, Elisa Carrasco, and Sofia Vilar.
